About this policy

Soon is a countdown and interval timer for Android, published by AtomCoder. This privacy policy applies to the Soon app, package name com.soon.soon, and the Soon website at soon.sites.forgedbase.com.

Soon has no user accounts and does not operate a developer-controlled backend for app data. We do not collect, sell or use personal information for advertising, profiling or analytics.

What stays on your device

Soon stores only the information needed to run the timer and remember your choices. This can include:

• timer names, durations, remaining time and current timer status;
• continuous interval and session settings;
• a selected clock start time;
• your chosen accent colour; and
• the name and device reference for your selected alert tone.

This information is stored locally in the app’s private Android storage. It is not uploaded to AtomCoder or ForgedBase.

How Soon uses Android features

Soon may use the following device capabilities to provide features you start:

• Notifications and foreground service: keeps an active timer visible and running while the app is minimised or the device is locked, and provides timer controls.
• Wake lock and keep-screen-awake: prevents an active countdown display from sleeping when appropriate.
• System alarm tones: lets you choose and play an alert tone already available on your device. Soon does not upload the tone or your selection.
• Picture-in-picture: displays a compact interactive timer when you minimise the app.

Soon does not request access to your contacts, location, camera, microphone, photos or files.

Optional tips

Soon may offer optional, repeatable tips through Google Play Billing. Google Play processes the payment using your Google account and chosen payment method. Soon receives limited product and purchase-status information needed to display the offer and complete or consume the purchase.

AtomCoder does not receive your full payment-card details. Google’s handling of account, device, payment and transaction information is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.

No sale of personal data

We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. Because Soon does not collect your timer content on developer servers, there is no timer-content database shared with third parties.

Google Play acts as the platform and payment provider for app distribution and optional tips. Its processing is separate from AtomCoder’s on-device timer functionality.

You control local data

Local timer state and preferences remain on your device until they are replaced, cleared through Android’s app settings, or removed when you uninstall Soon. Soon has no app account to delete.

Google may retain purchase records under its own policies and legal obligations. We do not control deletion of data held in your Google account. If you have a privacy question or believe you have provided information directly to us, contact us using the address below.

Protected by the device

Soon keeps its timer state and preferences in Android’s private app storage. No system can be guaranteed completely secure, so we recommend keeping Android and Soon up to date and protecting your device with its available security controls.

A general-purpose timer

Soon is a general-purpose utility and is not designed to collect personal information from anyone, including children. The app does not contain advertising, social features or account creation.

No tracking scripts

The Soon landing page does not use advertising trackers, analytics services or account cookies. If you follow an external link—such as Google Play or PayPal—the destination service applies its own privacy practices.

Keeping this page current

We may update this policy when Soon’s features or data practices change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when a revised policy is published. Material changes will be described clearly.
